For FHA & VA loans on a manufactured home, it is required that the foundation meets a certain criteria to be considered structurally sound and to put the lender at ease. Our professionally licensed structural engineers can ensure that the manufactured (mobile) home is compliant with HUD's latest standards and provide the foundation certification in a quick and timely manner.
Typically, a lender will reach out to one of our structural engineers to schedule a time to visit. One of our licensed engineers will visit the property and perform an on-site inspection as it pertains to the foundations standards of HUD. We verify compliance with the Permanent Foundations Guide for Manufactured Homes (PFGMH) and then issue a foundation certification within a few days.
In some instances, the foundation is not compliant with HUD standards. If this is the case, we will issue a non-compliance letter and provide our suggestions for the foundation to meet the minimum standards to be HUD compliant.
