Eric left home for warmer weather to receive his Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Clemson University. He returned to Cincinnati to continue his education with a Masters in Structural Engineering from the University of Cincinnati while working for a geotechnical engineering firm. Eric officially kicked off his structural engineering career in 2013, joining a large engineering firm where he engineered commercial and utility superstructures out of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. He was eventually drawn into the fast growing solar industry before connecting with Nick and forming AO Structural Engineers.
Nick obtained his Masters Degree from The University of Louisville with an emphasis in structural engineering. Nick began his career in Louisville working for a structural consulting firm that provided services as small as a residential assessment to as large as the design of the KFC YUM Center arena in Louisville, KY. Originally from Northern Kentucky, Nick moved back home in 2012 and began his career in the solar industry designing the steel racking, foundations, and connections to support utility scale solar farms. Nick eventually met Eric and soon after AO Structural Engineers was born.
